this fix, is there anything else to be done when SH3 runs? had no probs installing it all, except when i clicked to save at the end i was prompted to save again and just called it "SH3" in the save file name field

works fine, but the res seems to have remained the same, even tho the .cfg file shows it at 1280*1024 . i was expecting things to look a bit smaller the way it would in a shooter when the res is changed

Should work, same gfx card as you (2900xt) and im running the game at 1680x1050. I switched back to 1024x768 though with forced AA 4x instead.

If you have applied the fix correctly, it will work. I run GWX 2.0 @ 1280x1024 or 1600x1200 with no problem at all. BTW, you're not running in windowed mode are you?:hmm:

Is this worth the trouble.....never tried it...and can you Alt-Tab out to windows ok...if need be like to use the MoBo track board....

Danlisa when running the higher res are you able to back off on AA and AF?

Thanks

No, it was better. I have a widescreen and it stretches and look blurry at 1024x768, but not with the resolution fix running at my monitor's native res. The GUI stays the same though.. maybe that's why you can't tell the difference, especially if you run with AA and AF on?

Ok, it is worth the trouble, SH3 looks beautiful at higher res. However, I have had some problem Alt+Tab'ing out of the game at some res settings (not all).

As for AA & AF, depending on the resolution, I can usually scale AA back a setting the higher I go. As for AF, that will be unchanged as it affect quality at distance.

Remember to manually edit the setting in the SH3/d3d9 file to get the full effect.

Dont remember this automatically updating and its easy to forget to do
