Did you go to port first ? Close game, disable all mods via "JSGME", install patch 1.4 then "able" all your mods via JSGME. If you are not using JSGME then you need to delete SH4 off HD and reinstall then install 1.4 then the mods you want. But your previous saves will no longer be playable.

Page two SH4 patch 1.4 readme:
Note 1: The save games and replays that were made with the original version of Silent Hunter 4 or with Silent Hunter 4 patch 1.1 to 1.3 will be incompatible with the new patch version.

Note 2: In Base autosaving are compatible with original version, patch 1.1, patch 1.2 and patch 1.3.


Since you've already put a lot of miles on SH4 it would probably be best to shut off the Internet and clear every thing you can that's running in the background, delete SH4 "Then" Defrag your computer ( bet you have a lot of red? ), reinstall SH4, install 1.4, able all your mods via JSGME and get ready to kick some butt and maybe you'll now get those medals and new subs but in order to do that you MUST complete your missions to the tee or the Admiral just may give you a desk job.

Okay here is where I am at I deleted it all, I was not using JSGME I just dropped all the mods into the file, So now I have a vanilla copy of SH4 I then placed the 1.4 patch, I then used JSGME to load RFB_1.4_for_stock_RC1, (as I found from another string that I was using the wrong RFB mod) and lastly DialsGatoCT_Fix_14 also placed in using JSGME. Drum roll please... it worked SO... I started another asiatic campaign again with the good old S-36 I have now completed 1 patrol (exactly 1 month at sea) with only two kills thanks to duds I think it was something like 10,500 tons and a total renown of 2014 and i return to port and ... my crew receives 4 promotions no medals, I receive no promotion or medals, so now I am off to try a second patrol, so I guess you might say the jury is still out. obtw I did do the clean install with the defragging and all.

The point is that your 1.4 with the mods you want are working. Good job.

Don't get "Medal" happy though for it may take a few patrols to get them and a bunch of tonnage.

Yup thats what I'm saying, and I just finished a second patrol that was better than the first and I got a bronze star (that showed up as a weird looking purple heart in the box ??) my crew is still S.O.L. though on the medals thing, though I have noticed two additional unusual things, 1.) the camera swivel in the home port office no longer works (can't change options) 2.) no longer needs dvd in pc to play the game (not that that is bad) anyone expiriance this ???

Patch 1.3 ended the DVD in tray. ( How long have you been out to Sea? :hmm: )
