I'm going to spend the year 2012 in a cave, not to avoid the end of the world but to avoid all the conspiracy theorists and ex-Y2K survivalists pushing this stuff.
I'm also going to go out on a limb and say that what we will see in 2012 is the Summer Olympic Games in London. And since it's the XXX Olympiad it might get a bit racy. Know what I mean? Know what I mean squire? Nudge, Nudge. Wink, Wink...
