Now my Med Camo is ready for D/Ling to from the same link as the first skin. Ok one other thing that I forgot to mention, since I'm reitivly new at sub skinning I'm not 100% sure if Racerboy's flags and pennants got added to both skin files. If so I'm sorry about this problem if it does happen.

Kptlt. Hellmut Neuerburg,
Hello, I was just wondering what program you were using to skin. My weapon of choice is "Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI". The reason I'm asking is that I've noticed one small fault with your first skin that may help to improve your overall presentation of the U-boat skin. If you look at the drainage vents along the length of the U-boat you will notice that your skinning technique's is placing the paint over the top of the vent. Look at the vents and you will see that some are black (looks real) and some look the same colour as the paint (no good) it makes it look less realistic. There are methods to over come this and basically you need your paint to exclude the vents sector. If you want help in this area just let me know, and I'll come to your aid. I will be out of action from Monday night till about the 20 Dec 07. I hope this has been helpful if not just tell me to pull my head in and I'll submerge to the dark depths :rotfl: |

The boats a 7b, but I think it would work on a 7c.And at the present I don't a surface pick of it,yet. I'm still a little bit in the dark about what programs to use to make a sub skins. Just as long as they are free-ware programs.

You make new holes by mimicing the older tga skin. or Through research you can make your own authenic styles. Many U-boats had there own scheme for the drainage holes. Same to the exhaust holes over time Many varients were added to improve and fix many U-boat bugs for its time in the war.
If you want choices click on my subsim link below and see different subs I've painted. It should give you some ideas to help you own custom designs. ![]() |
