Mouse problem in DW when windowed?

I'm running DW on WIN XP, I'm wanting to run it windowed 1024x768 but when I do I start getting problems with the mouse, If I try to adjust my speed it changes my heading, and alot of times the cursor shows its on something however when I click i get no response, never have had this problem except for trying to run it windowed, which i need so i can switch between the game and some reference docs instead of printing them out.. ANY help or ideas?????
