I did load the message.txt
I have no other mods installed (haven't played SH IV in a while).
I tried it with the 1941 campaign, both homeports (Manila and Pearl), the problem occurs in both cases.

P.S.: I've just tried it again. It always crashes during the evening/night of Dec 8th, 1941.
P.P.S.: Later careers seem to work properly, tried it with the first 1943, 1944 and 1945 campaigns.

RSRDC makes no change to this area.

The rest are file changes from v103 to v104 to support 1.4

Well I have been trying to follow this thread and I'm compleaty lost as to what all I should have installed...

Clay,

On the first page at the very bottom is the updated RSRD 1.4 mod. Download and use this one. Deactivate any earlier versions. I recommend you do it in port. Apparently there is a message fix but it is still not working.

Anyway, I have the new 1.4 RSRD and it runs just fine.

Lurker,

Finally getting a chance to enjoy this mod. Its really nice, appreciate the work you did in the messages. Just left Manila, 12/41 working my way North to Luzon Straits, receiving plenty of FOX Traffic with additional tasks/assignments.

Lots more immersive!

Can any one tell me if anyone has yet merged the best of RSRD, TM and ROW?

I have played SH4 with each of the above and think that a merge of all three plus 1.4 should about be the bee's kness in terms of a Pacific War Sub Sim.

I would address this question as much to the developers of the three mods outlined above, their work has ellivated SH4 from almost unplayable to a fantastic game which for me has now surpassed SH3, even though I personally would rather play Atlantic theatre.

One big megga mod featuring the best of all three would be fantastic

It's already possible to have all three at the same time in 1.3, and I'm sure the mod developers are working on that for 1.4 too.

I’ve conducted a number of controlled tests trying to recreate your CTD. Current I’m unable to recreate your problem. The message.txt that comes with RSRDC does not send its’ first message until Dec 23. The only messages that are generated on Dec 8th are two messages about Pearl Harbor, that are part of “stock” SH4 and RSRDC as no effect on there generation.

Recommend that you de-install RSRDC and see if the problem continues.

RSRD fans and Lurker can blame me for that probably. I focused on the job at hand, and i didnt document anything because it took too much time to do so. Normally i annoated changes to some degree,, but this time i didn't.

I had TM broken apart and in pieces, reconstructed it for patch 1.4, and I changed alot of stuff on the fly as needed or warranted. For anyone working with the TM mod itself, it will make things alot harder for them. This wasn't my intention and i apologize for that.

If the problem is with RSRDC, I first have to recreate the problem before I can fix it, if the problem is truly being caused by the mod. Since I have not heard any other users saying that their have the same problem, I can not proceed with any fix for your problem. Any other details in regard to your problem would be helpfully

Not sure what might be causing this CTD but I have had no issues with the mod at all. I have all ROW working with exception of the sky and ocean controls. Ostfriese, are you sure there are not other mods loaded?
