IIRC the film was only very loosely based on Beach's book....pretty much the title and thats it! But seriously....they could do a very good job with the effects available now, make it into an American Das Boot, plenty of gritty action and no punches pulled. Maybe somebody like Ridley Scott to direct? __________________
