College Bowl games anyone?

Football thread II The revenge.

Does anybody follow college football (Euro rif-raff need not post here, yes it's American football. Soccer hooligans please go away. )

Any-hooow, talk trash here.:rotfl: I think that there are about 20 too many bowl games. I wish they'd do a play-off system with only the conerfence champion, but that will never happen. I'm also tired of these big conferences being able to send their mediocre teams to a bowl game (Oregon ducks) or U of Minnesota.

There are way to many bowl games, the reason, probably because there is no such thing as a loser anymore, everyone is a "winner", bunch of crap if you ask me. The only high point to all these games is that my old school of Central Michigan University won their conference and made the Motor City Bowl so this year I will accept all the games. Hopefully U of M wins as well. Last but not least I know its blasphemy but I hope Ohio State melees Florida because they rode in on the coat tails of everyone elses misfortune.

The BCS is needlessly elaborate and far too crooked to interest me. The system of national rankings shows large amounts of inherent bias by far too many journalists, and the system does not reward smaller schools in favor of the established 'good ol boys' (Notre Dame, anyone?).

Better to stick with the pros. At least they have no issue with stating their overt commecialism. College football, on the other hand, likes to pretend that it still has not sold it's soul.

Both UoMs Minnesota and the other one stank it up.

Is it just me, or does college football stink this year? It's too bad they'll never do a play-off system. I'd love to see the top teams work it out this way, instead of the bowl system . On a side note, I've been dying for Monday to come, so I could listen to the local sport's radio regarding oregon's meltdown:rotfl: :rotfl: . Couldn't happen to a nicer team. See, what everybody misses, is the Yocal media here: In the newspaper, a yocal poll had dixon winning the Heisman and the U of Oregon winning the national title.:rotfl: :rotfl:
