Pat Condell No. 28

Different to my past opportunities when I referred to one of his videos because their content matched well into a given thread, I break with that habit for once and point to his latest speech just for itself, because this is one of the most clear and uncompormised videos that he has released so far (and there are 28, all in all, by now). Different to most others, it also lacks the usual note of humour as well, and you easily realise the bitter, uncompromised determination with which he stands for his views and defends his opinion. He is very grim this time. Makes you wonder what kind of week he just has had.

Needless to say that I agree with almost all he says, fullheartly. By content, it could have been from me.

It is about - as he calls them - Islamofacists, and white supremacists, and why he looks at the one with as much disgust as at the other.

However, although I admite the courage and clearness in it, I hope that Pat comes back to a more humorours tone again, for despite the uncompromised determination by which he brandmarks religious fundamentalism both of Christian ans Islamic origin as the inhumane stupidity that it is, he nevertheless is almost always humourous and witty in wording, and offers some jokes or opportunities to make the viewer laugh in the face of the seriousness of the issues - but not this time.

Great show of initiative and courage by you, Pat Condell. Keep up he good work. And don't let bitterness sink too deep into your mind and soul - determination is good enough.
