My first experience with the batteries was a complete surprise. I got the same mission again, deploy and hunt merchants. Last time I did, I found a small port near Bismarck sea and picked out a few medium tankers and destroyers. I don't know how it happened, but next time I went for a run there (completely surfaced, guns blazing), I was warmly welcomed with shore battery fire (I could swear those weren't there last time)
