When I read your first post a day or so ago I thought this might happen. Its quite common for damaged ships to repair themselves or sink without trace or credit if you save and reload between attacking the ship and getting the 'she's going down' message. To avoid this, I always wait for ships to go down before saving.

Yes, thats what I was thinking too. It seems it is dangerous to save a game while submerged also. I have had some issues with that as well. Rick

Thanks for the information, I will hold my girlfriend directly responsible for this.

Complaining about the high pitched sonar noises and cursing eminating from the living room. It was only 2am what a nerve.
