![]() ![]() this has and is happening to me. also, got a flak gunner who does not want to shoot down planes - i can not use it too. i call for ahead flank and telegraph drops off to all stop. but it seems to work with commands below ahead flank - sometimes ????!!!!!! sometimes i dont get any responce from the diesles and am just stuck there like a sitting duck. if i call for crash dive, everything goes off except any kind of movement..... it's driving me nuts cos i like my crew and dont want to die......... but what to do - someone said my flak gun issue is a bug of some kind. the other things probably malfunctions/sabotague - even though i dont have the sabotague enabled ??????????????????? ![]() i'm wondering if any of the GWX technicians have any ideas around this ![]() sh3 gwx sh3 commander flag4 |

The malfunctions/sabotage mod only affects "Load Times" for the flak guns, meaning that the gun will take forever to reload imitating a jammed weapon which was common after long periods under water. It has nothing to do with gunners refusing to fire or showing poor marksmanship.
as for the flank = dead part of the mod, a vast majority will have the given speed reduced, sometimes slightly acting as a mere annoyance, sometimes greatly reduced requiring the captain to consider his options about returning home or engaging in a surface action. Sounds like a bug unrelated to the mod. Try hitting reverse slow then hitting ahead flank.

hi kpt lehmann,
thanks for getting back. no. i have not enabled a mod. i have though, once, come in to the game without coming in through sh3 commander. and on some previous saves i have saved underwater, but i went back and deleted them. this might be something ? but dont know why flak gunner cant be bothered ? and i cant use it. i have just refuelled with the Bessel down at Vigo and tested the gun then; seems ok at the moment, i'll have to see. i'm a liitle unclear here though; do i have to roll back sh3 every time i play sh3, or just click start. so i only roll back if i enable a mod whilst in port ? cheers, flag4 |

I have had this happen also....late in a career....I assumed it was a malfunction as I use SH3Comdr. It actually caused me to sustain heavy damage during a Mosquito encounter....I couldnt get under in time and took quite a bashing.....
