Thanks a lot for yours attencion.

Splendid. I love the choice of music, and the camera work is superb. It's a little dark, but I think that's YouTube's compression at fault. This is the kind of video that SH4 could have used to promote the game at trade shows. -

At least Next time you make a video it will be working for you!

Again thank's for the dedication at the end of it for me! I am flattered to say the least!

WOW Stabiz. The new program to run these is out of this world. The graphics in this game enhanced with ROW makes it look very realistic. Another great one with nice shots of the action. I like the camera view of the damaged DD.....side blown out.

Again, the new program really is great and shows off the work much better than utube.

Very nice movie...Glad to see it hosted at Stage6 rather than 'youtube'! That makes a lot of difference in the quality. I watched it "full-screen".

Default What video capture programs are you using?

I'd like to make a video with SHIV but FRAPS won't work with it (the game basically stops when I try to start recording with FRAPS). FRAPS works with every other game I have (IL2 1946, COD2, SHIII) except SHIV. Should I look for another video program or are my specs too low? Any advice/tips is greatly appreciated.

System specs:
AMD 64 3100 (2.4Ghz)
2 Gig RAM
Nvidia 7800 256m AGP
Viewsonic 22" flatscreen

cheers,

What fps are you getting before you hit the record button?

cheers,
I think it must be that your rig is not powerful enough.

I use FRAPS set at 30FPS for recording, both Video and Sound. I run and record at my SH4 1920X1200 resolution...and I run SH4 with all Graphics options set to the maximum options. I've had no problem getting smooth FRAPS AVI 1920X1200 movies.
(Note that a short raw FRAPS 30 second AVI movie/file runs between 800and 950 Mb)...that can be cropped and reduced in size in Vitual Dub to a roughly 800X500 XVid 30 second movie clip of only about 9Mb or so with fairly good quality/resolution.

My Rig, though, is pretty much state-of-the-art:

ASUS P5N32-E SLI
Dual core E6700 Cpu
2GB OCZ PC2 8800 (1100Mhz) RAM
BFG 8800GTX Graphics card
Audigy2 ZS
24" Widescreen LCD Monitor 1920X1200 native resolution
Windows VISTA 32bit

Default Green with envy

Doolittle;
nice rig!! ya lucky bugger, LOL!!

I figured it was probably my system limitations but was hoping there might be a work around for lower end systems. The game runs and looks great as long as I don't try to record. Oh well, I can wait a bit longer before upgrading.

Stabiz;
FPS in fraps is set for 25, I'm not sure what the FPS in-game is prior to hitting record as I don't have it displayed (I know it's 'zero' when I hit record though, LOL).

Fraps runs better if you save the video files to a different drive than the game, you could try that if you have more than one.
