Default Research- War Patrol Reports From any/all US boats on DVD

This was just made available in Oct of this year. ALL available microfiched war patrol reports of submarines are now available on DVD, You can pick specific boats, patrols, or other options.

Although the entire collection would be quite expensive, you can pick and choose for your research. Check the list of owners with a complete collection. You may be able to go to a local museum for research.

What an incredible resource! I've found patrol reports from some of the more notable subs, Barb, Tang, Wahoo and a few others, but would have liked to know more about some of the other boats as well. Thx for the heads up!

Execellent this kind of stuff never ceases to be of interest. I've read a few after action reports from air combats and they are really rivetting. A sub patrol may be a little more sedate but the day to day grind of what a sub does in wartime could be equally interesting.

I'm really into this kind of thing because its a report of what the ordinary guy on the ground saw and had to deal with, all the little events, not just grand strategy.
