It had some great interviews with the U-boat commanders! Just for the game . It had a dynamic campaign, good AI, great manual...

It did have some hella-nasty crash bugs though

This thread brings back many memories. I played CAOD for many hours. What a truly awesome sim! I still have it in the cabinet. I remember the full installation only took 20MB of space. I don't think patches today are even smaller than that! The only real bug I hated with CAOD was the BSODs I would get, rather frequently, when trying to use FAT torpedoes (and sometimes LUT).

The bug I hated the most (other than the program crashes), the sub would suddenly surface (no button had been pushed!) They did fix this. They mailed out patch disks. Pre-internet days!
