Campaign steals would be easy to spot if they are ICL or RSRD since the randomly generated zig-zags are literally a fingerprint. lurker or I could run any of our working layers for either mod through the ACE with the exact same script he used for his release, and I used for mine, and the layers would look different every time. His more than mine, actually, because I think he randomized the contact reports and spawn rates more than I did.
None the less, who cares? How many could they possibly sell? Anyone looking hard enough to find their site would have first found subsim, and realized they could get better stuff for free. The only really interesting stuff they have (to me) are ships. They look to be fairly simple (for the folks who do such stuff) bashes of stock ships. When S3D does 3d, many more of us will be capable of such ship bashing I bet. tater |

The ships are pretty poor really, about as good as that Tenyru CL thats on the mods list, ie they don't look much like the ships they are supposed to.
Take, Tone its missing a turret, so the really unique point of her and her sister, the fact that they had 4 turrets fore, isn't there. The Matsu DE has the wrong turrets too. Thats even worse as the correct HA 5" turrets are already available in SH4! Just shows that they took only a most casual reguard to ressearch.

I have a funny feeing I am wasting my breath, but I gotta try anyway.
Any chance we could keep at least a thin veneer of civility on this discussion until someone is in posession of all of the facts? Any chance at all? JCC |

Talk about a cheap hatchet job. Has anyone looked at the ship screenies for the Tone and Mogami class heavy cruisers. The Tone had four main turrets all mounted forward of the superstructure, the screen cap shows a modified Mogami model mounting only three turrets. The Mogami cruiser, I'm guessing, is supposed to be based on the ship prior to the Japanese converting her to a seaplane carrier. But the screen cap shows the turrets mounted on the flight deck.
This is certainly not the kind of quality I would pay for. |

Yeah, the ships are the kind of Q&D stand-ins that might be useful while waiting for a real model.
Like my use of Evarts with all the guns, sailors, etc, changed to IJN stuff for a Kaibokan C/D. (worth what you paid for it ![]() Took 15 minutes, and fills a need. When we get a real one (and we will ![]() tater |
