You can pay for second rate addons such as the Med one
They are all out of date as regards content and ideas

Do yourself a favour and get GWX
Or WAC
Or NYGM

Hi and welcome.

I stongly advise you Bin that 'battle of the mediteranean' expansion - its yesterdays junk mate !

Instead download + install either GWX, NYGM or WAC, all three mods offer so much more than the med expansion and they are all free

*Edit* Looks like BBW beat me to the punch ....... MOOSE!

Yes of course you can still use Auto targeting in GWX and no i wont hang you for it, otherwise I would have to hang myself too!
I could never get my head around manual Targeting either, for me the game is already challenging enough without it.

yea i know mate, but sometimes get the feeling im cheating myself a little not manual targeting, seems that after manually tracking a target then switching to auto targeting is a little off, but im the same as you, dont really have the time to sit down and properly teach myself the techniques when i can use my weapons officer to do all the hard work for me!!
by the way, can i add any other mods onto gwx? and is it downloadable in one go or is there many parts. Sorry to pick ure brain but it looks like ive been playing an inferior career than a lot of you gus here!!!

@BBW -Now now, its not easy being a beaver, every time we see a Lancaster we fill our shorts ... You Otter...

@Voh Hally, GWX is downloaded in different parts but its all installed in one go via a simple installer program (its like installing any other program) and using a program called JGSME you can add other compatible mods to your GWX installtion.

Gwx 1.0 comes with an exe file and 5 bin files
D\L all into one folder and run the exe

Then D\L and run GWX 1.03

If you are using SH3commander you will need the additional GWX specific cfg files

All available below my sig

There are mods to add on GWX but until you have given it a go you wont know what - if any - you want

First of all Welcome to SubSim

as BBW and JU said every SuperMod (GWX, WAC and NYGM) can be played in any difficulty level you like. That way you can keep increasing the realism as you go along without feeling scared by the game. I've started GWX at 30% realism and now I never play in less than 70% (I do not use Manual Targeting as well). Give it a try and you will see how easy it is to get it going.

Do yourself a favour though. Before you install ANY of the SuperMods play in Stock SH3 for a couple of days. Then install any SuperMod you like you enjoy the experience. That way you will see how much effort everyone has put into making the game so great
