Well I tell you what, since I have upgraded my system to 2gig ram & X1950 video card, if 1.4 is released I will reinstall & give it an honest go!

But then I might be just saying that because I know 1.4 will never be released!

Besdies, SH4 Patch 1.4 has alot in common with another game i know of.

Patch 1.4, like DNF..... "When it's done!" (which is to say, never)

This message was found on the German Ubi site. Apparently it was up for less than a second but advanced Google archiver crawlers caught it five minutes before a Google crash that obliterated all record of this post forever. It's true.

Will revolutionise the game. Features:

1. All Amerikan schwein will now speak in Deutch for more authentic U-boat experience. (why do they calling U-boats submarines?)

2. Amerikan U-boat diving time to 3 minutes. (they were krapp compared to REAL U-boats

3. Amerikan dek gun to fire one shot per minute. The shell will have no effect but will make good noise.

4. Amerikan eel will make random 5º course changes, approximately every 10-20 seconds.

5. Amerikan radar will show only reruns of Hogan's Heroes. Amerikan lookouts will only sleep. Radar and Sonar tech will have voice of Sgt Schulz saying only, "I see nothing, I hear nothing!"

6. Sound for battle stations changed to "Pop Goes the Weasel."

7. All U-boats have Mickey Mouse ears instead of diving planes in the wrong place. (see REAL U-boat for proper diving plane mount location)

When it came back up all reference to the update was gone. There are rumors that a few people copied it to their local machines, but were all infected with an American virus that erased Linux from their hard drives and replaced it with MSDOS 3.2.

Work on 1.4 continues on the USS Dimitrescu at a feverish pitch. The Ubisoft announcement will start with 'Now hear this' very soon.
