Here it is (whew! took a min to find again! hhahahah))
Warning: I still could not get it to work right, even though I went and changed the floatilla info both in SH3 and Commander. :shrugs: Maybe you'll have better luck than me. I gave up. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ight=type+1939 |

You can get it in '44 at Burgen if you start a career in SH3CM

I know! I was just wondering what it'd be like to have it in 1939. Most likely neat at first, and then boring. I like my Type IXB just fine though. I only wish it'd go just a LITTLE faster when submerged (Convoy is at 8 knots sir! Our speed is 7 knots sir! ![]() ![]() |

I edited my flotilla and basic cfg files to get the XXI in 39 and it was great for about 30 mins, till you see that coastal merchant or something. Then you've to decide whether or not to waste a torp on it or not. I tend to save mine for larger tonnage myself. So I found myself missing out on a nice chunk of tonnage that I could have had with a deck gun. Past 42 the XXI was really nice to have, since I rarely get to use the deck gun then.

I have posted the modified files at http://hosted.filefront.com/mtwzd.
These files were modified by myself following jimbunas instructions at http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ight=type+1939. Unzip someplace safe. Backup your current copies of the included folder and 2 files. Replace them with the new files. I have used this successfully in many careers in stock and GWX 1.0. All weapons are functional and it has an advanced torpedo loadout. An interesting alternative for hunting convoys. |

![]() ![]() CNemo, are you planning to keep those files online? Because this question (how to get a XXI in '39?) comes up at least once/month.

Yes, and if someone experienced could check with jimbuna (his process I used), it would be nice if they could make it JSGME ready ![]() |
