Strange problem

It doesent really sound to me like a heat issue more like a driver issue but Im sure ClayP keeps his video drivers up to date.

You dident mention the age of the machine but you might want to knock open the case and check the heat sinks for the cpu and gpu to make sure they arent plugged with dust. If they are vacum them clean. Oh yea make sure all the fans are spinning like they should as well.

Also you might want to try re-seating that video card see if you dont have a flakey connection.

Yes SH4 is very demanding on the video card even more so than some contemporary games supprisingly. I guessing it has something to do with rendering the water.
