you'll have a chance to meet up with the Hood again if you take part in the naval battles around the Norway Invasion in April of 1940. you have to be northeast of the UK submarine base and West/Northwest of Trondheim. You will catch the Hood as part of a battle group initially steaming towards Narvik. It is ringed by destroyers, but through a gap, you can fire off a salvo at her. I did this with 4 torpedoes. 1 missed, but the other 3 hit where it counted and took her down. Sadly, in that career I met my demise at the hands of a Swordfish close to the Eastern English coast. In my 9th life, I look to do this again.

I'm also still waiting for my first Hood sighting. But I have sunk a Nelson class and since yesterday also a Revenge class.

Never seen the Hood but I did sink the Ark Royal just northwest of Malta in Mid 41

Using GWX, I once stumbled into Scapa Flow in late 1939 and met the holy trinity - aka HMS Hood, HMS Nelson, HMS Revenge.

Took all my torps, but went home with three huge notches on my belt - only to just receive the EK II.

Still, the adrenalin rush was worth it.

I suggest loitering due west of scapa in 1939, good chance of catching her there

well it's been 13 years lol

yesterday (1939) i was returning from the Corriente and i decided to pass through scapa, and just off the coast of scotlant there they were: Hood and Nelson, so i prepared the attack carefully i was low on torpedos

fired a 4 fish salvo on Hood, 1 miss 3 hits under the keel, she sank in minutes

then i stalked Nelson for 3 hours and hiting 1 torpedo after she stopped the zig-zag she slowed down
after that i only had 2 stern torpedos so i had to reverse, after a second hit she slowed down to 3 knots so i could aim the last fish and then she sunk

i hope someone sees this after a decade

My best score was in the Gibralter straits in late '40 career. 4 T-1's --ALL worked fired at long range to the detriment of the Nelson.

Best score ever achieved in SH III.

just sunk the 5th HMS Hood of my career. At AM65 i was just sailing past there in british waters when my WO spots a stationary warship, i figured it was HMS Hood so i lined up and fired 2 torpedoes between Turret A and B where the ammunition is stored and i got a big explosion and it quickly sunk
