Wolfpacks would be nice.
![]() I would also like to see a better crew system implemented. I believe that the experience level of each crewmember should be marginally less important than it already is, but that qalification should become massively more important. It would be fantastic if (for example) very badly damaged systems could only be repaired if an officer with the repair qualification is present in damage control. I'd love it if officers could gain several levels of qualification: so a "5 star" Medic could bring even near death sailors back to full health in time, but a "2 star" Medic could only prevent their condition from worsening. Overall I think the skill levels of one's crew should play a far greater part in the success of a patrol than it does now, particularly when things start to go wrong. Ideally, green sailors should even be capable of panic in extreme circumstances! Losing a highly experienced, qualified and decorated officer should be a massive blow to the running of the ship wheras under the current system I find it has little impact. Some kind of Nightclub feature ala Aces of the Deep would also be excellent. It could serve as the interface by which you recruit new officers perhaps. Getting drunk and bitching about the fuehrer would be good for a laugh. It'd also be great if you could gamble with fellow sub captains and bet Renown! ![]() Another thing I'd love to see would be a radio system whereby the broadcasts change depending on the point of the war, and give you updates on what's happening elsewhere in the region. I'm not sure how realistic this would be, but it'd be a thrill.

I'd like to see Tanks and APCs that can be destroyed by the Flakvierling 88mm and squads of infantry that can be run down by the AA guns. Maybe those MG42s can be used by the AI...
I'd like to see more Civilians, German Vehicles (i.e Opel Blitz, Kubelwagon and the Wirbelwind) Imagine the Atlantic Wall and D-Day. Obj: Sink the American Destroyer. We'd need LCVPS though. :hmm: |

I have a couple of screen captures from the opening scenes of "Das Boot" that I reworked to look like oil paintings. I would like to use them as a replacement for the recruitment and/or equipment interface to give more of a Nightclub ambience. I am not sure how we'd be able to implement the popular rumors & information a la "Aces of the Deep". |

Working 88mm flak guns around the harbour. Or even-non working ones would be nice.

I live in a pretty busy harbor, its not a port or naval yard, but all we have a seagulls, which are soundless for whatever reason, we also have Craines and Pelicans. The craines and pelcans make squak noises. Who knows what they have in Europe, beats me. I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Tropics |

Putting my little girl to sleep after that post, ive been thinking more and more about it. I am going to do this, even if I am not totally clear on what you are talking about, if there was some kind of special feature from AOD, with graphics and such, but I am definetly going to begin adding to the SH3 Commander bar scene as soon as I contact JSCones for permission.

Similarly, it would be great if a highly skilled Machinist officer was able to squeeze and extra 0.5 knots out of the engines at flank speed. Maybe a highly talented sonar operator would be able to detect ships at longer ranges, and be better at designating Warship or Merchant more accurately. These are just a few examples of my thinking. I really do believe that highly skilled and talented Officers should be a submarine's best asset. In some situations they should literaly be the difference been making it home alive or not. I'm sure that was demonstrated time and again during the war by the actual brave men who crewed the boats. Quote:
I know that SH3 Commander already has something like this (its better than nothing) but I was imagining a more complex interface with more options. Giving the player a way to "blow off steam" between patrols (realistic when you think about it) would work really well. It could also be a way to serve the player with news of the war. Spending Renown on interesting experiences with those French ladies would be kinda nice too. ![]()

Actually nothing is next. I just remembered someone posted that everything that could be done had been done, and there could be no new mods.
No, really, I'm serious. This was about two years ago.:rotfl:
