Is this cheating?

I wasn't happy about doing it.. really I would have prefered to finish them off like I did with the DD.. but I just could not hit them with my torpedos.. and I couldn't loose them no matter what I was going to do.. and I really don't think I could have not have them find me either.. no matter how slow or careful I was going.. oh well.. they'll learn.. or.. well, those three particular ships won't exactly learn anymore.. but maybe others will..
