inpressions:
I only have the 8800 sinds a week and i am no pc guru at all....so technical pc terms and manuel settings = :hmm: for me (long live JSGME and the communityaces here who give step by step "to do" explenations )

I am on my first patrol with ROW(i deleted all saved games in my documents and started a new career ...so i hope to see the lightning )
I have a average FPS of 48 on the bridge so far....Only cruised in open calm seas till now and sunk a nagara maru . No idea what the FPS will be with a task force nearby or when entering a harbor (pearl is the challenge i think)

I have no shaky water and all runs smoothly till now....have seen the phantom smoke plumes as well ....a normal smokeplume from the stack + a second plume behind the ship.

sry for my verry basic english writing
(i speak and understand basic german;french ; english and dutch ofcorse..but writing ....pffffff ...so ..keep it simple

momo, your English is perfect. No worries!

Thanks for the tips, guys. I'll give it a go after a reinstall...was getting tired of this career anyways

Is Reflections on the Water compatable with Trigger Maru v1.62? If it is, should it be installed before TM or after?

The readme talks about the order of installing the parts of the mod but doesn't mention other mods. I haven't been able to find anything in the ROW thread about compatability with other mods but I'll look again.

Default ROW

replaces LBO and Seeadler's environment mod and Kriller2's mod and incorporates a ton of smoke work from many differn't mod's and visability mod's and rain mod's and underwater visability mod's and so forth all all in this if this helps to answer some of the questions about compatability.

The only thing I need to do and get out to everyone is a new zone's file from RSM by Wernersab to get all the effect's working we created for the mod. Should be out for download this week to add to the mod.

I'd love to know what settings you guys are using. I'm running an Athlon 64 3500+, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 MB and 4x AA and this thing runs so choppy on my system (nevermind the miscellaneous graphics problems yet to be worked out like shaky water, phantom smoke plumes, etc) that uninstalled the mod.
Dude, your system should have not trouble running this game at all.

Sounds to me it's either a software problem or a fouled up OS. Have you reinstalled your OS recently?
It might be radical but I'd go for a fresh install of your OS.

My spec's:
Asus P4P 800E -DLuxe
P4 3.2gg
Asus Ati X800-Pro TVD (256MB)
1.5GG DaneElec. CL2 DDR400
500gg S-ATA 8mb cache HD

I run the game at an average of 40FPS (40 outside and 90 in map mode)
Obviously when getting close to a vessel on fire my FPS drops around 10. (So I keep my distance).

Slide bar's: All maxed out
On the left: Only checked the environmental effects
On the right: All checked except V-sinc
