How come a man on his mobile phone got only 6 points on his license, a £250 fine and a slap on the wrist for hitting a 12 year old girl on a pavement whilst on his mobile phone?
That's nothing to do with policing, the police might have carried out the arrest, but sentencing is a matter for the Judge, Magistrate and the Crown Prosecution Service and any pertinent legislation that is either lacking or lax.

In ten years you will look back and say what a crap country I lived in then, but it was better back then.

The following is a general statement to the folks of the UK -
The power is with the people you want change wake up.

And on that note I am not reading or replying to this thread anymore. :p

Kinda with Chock on this one.

British Police are probably doing the best they can with the resources they've got and the targets they are forced to meet. It's the fault of the courts that crimanals get off with such light sentances sometimes.

But then are the courts hands not partly tied by the overcrowding in prisons?
Who's fault is that?

Yours. Nah, only joking. The prisons are too full of foreign prisoners. And thats not just being funny. Britain doesnt have the balls to deport foreign prisoners. Thats how bad this country is.

Foreign prisoners? Yes part the problem but why not spend a few quid and build a few more prisons?

Yes, and I would be happy to pay a bit more tax so long as thats what they spent it on.

My dad says that, but he's not willing to spend the money when there's no guarantee that it'll be spent that way

More prisons yes
Deport the foreign prisoners yes

Dont spend too much time on the motorways thank god but when I do I rarely see a police car
Except at service stations
LMAO

Wanna see a copper
Watch TV
They are all driving around with camera crews in the back

I see drivers using mobile phones every day
But without seeing a police car they are free to get away with it

Driving standards as a rule have gone down the pan
Only tonight had a car heading towards me turn right across me forcing me to brake hard
I used to love driving now its a necessary evil
