Well the crew is feeling pretty confident now. Three more intercepts of the same convoy and 2 whale ships, 2 tankers and a large cargo rest on the bottom.
THe crew is a bit tired now, and we only have two stern fish left. It is time to start heading home and try to pick off a loan merchnat or two. We are at 93K in tonnage so far amd I am hoping to hit the 100K mark for the crew on their first patrol. So far the deck gun has rermained silent. |

Talking of jackpots I'm in a similar situation. In Patrol 1 I came across the convoy you are talking about and sunk HMS Rodney in addition to merchants sunk in convoy and elsewhere, for a total of 106,000 GRT. Now I'm on Patrol 4 and have come across a convoy with HMS Rodney (those British have good salvage ships!!) smack in the middle but no other escorts. Stuck five torps in her to send her to the bottom for a second time. So far in addition to HMS Rodney, I have sunk in the convoy a large merchant. I now have a free hand to sink as many merchants in the convoy that I can. Hopefully I'll get another 100k plus tonnage on this patrol.
