[TEC] How can a simple DDS file cause a shaking effect of the ocean and or camera?

Thanks Leo I'll give it a try tomorrow and see if my FPS goes all screwy or if I get "oceanquakes"

Just a thought, maybe it's a vid card or driver issue you're seeing? SH4 seems pretty picky about drivers, a few months ago I had a weird problem where suddenly every screenshot I took in SH4 came out totally crapped - I'd get only the top 1/2, or the bottom 1/2, or various bits of game menus or textboxes (i.e. message log) were overlaid on the shot. Every other game I tried though, screenshots were perfect. Also, my FPS in SH4 totally tanked, game was almost unplayable

But FPS was fine in other games

I ended up uninstalling/reinstalling my Nvidia drivers (exact same version on reinstall) and things were 100% back to normal. I guess some tiny little thing in the driver got crapped and SH4 couldn't deal with it but my other games could...
