Hi
I've a problem with NYGM mod.First it occured in version 2.2 and followed up to 2.6.The problem is:after spotting airplane I'm unable to maintain depth below the speed of 5 knots(submerged). When I go with 2 knots I go deeper and deeper.I know that it sounds funny but it I 've tried all combinations with all version(except for 2.0 and previous). At the begining I thought that it happens due to hull damage wich was caused my machine gun fire or bombs. But soon I eliminated bombs, then machine guns and saw that after being spotted the problem occurs.However-it does not occur always. It means that I had one or two patrols in which plane was spotted and even my hull was damaged(also on purpose by crash dive and bottom hitting)and the depth maintance was OK.I have SH3 patched to 1.4 and mod starts with no problems.Tried to use SH3 Commander but with no result.I even tried to copy sim files of each kind of boat from clear version of SH3(because some1 told me that they store displacement and mass info of the sub but with no result. |

This is a documented bug in SH3
it occurs when you crash dive but don't allow the manouver to complete. When you order a crash dive you have to let the sub dive to 80 metres when it will automatically level out. If you interupt this manouver by setting another depth before the levelling off then you get the behaviour you describe. ![]()

this is probably a pain in the neck when depth under keel is less than 80 m.I'm wondering what is the time difference between Crash dive and standart periscope depth order.

You can change the crash depth in the submarine cfg file.
