Just thinking out loud here :hmm: The alternate consequence could well be (in hypothetical terms of course).......GWX is released tomorrow, only one source, for example Danlisa, Kpt.Lehmann, myself or whoever.....the automated response from the server would be something like 'you are number 7,846 in the queue, your estimated download time is 6 months, 28 days, eleven hours and 14 seconds....oh! and have a nice day.

I too am with Danlisa on this I saw uberboot at the bottom
of the list on plisskens page but it doesnt bug me in the least
hes posted for access not trying to take credit for it

and how many of us have had the experience of losing a file
that we made that we had to get copy back from someone else
due to inept backup discipline.

I'm new to this forum, so I should not admonish anyone, but ...... stop acting like a banch of lady's, have a beer, and go on patrol. Everyone's work sholud be respected but for common good there were and there will be exceptions, for example like those mentioned by danlisa and melnibonian. Stop acting like recruits, you have your boats to command, and respect from people who admire your work. Don't let them down.

Yeah, your probably right, your new. So when you've been around long enough to know me and figure out what I like to do in work and play you'll probably realise I seldom if ever 'act like a lady'.....the streets of the UK are far too violent for that luxury

Why shouldn't the streets of Poland be safe... as long as they have good Police Officers like Jimbuna to patrol them... they should be safe.

This isn't about hosting files... It is about your long-standing rivalry and whatever beef you've developed with Jimbuna. The skin he hosted remained unaltered and contained whatever credits you wrote into the files...

Furthermore, I'm also willing to bet a hard-earned dollar that the files in question happened to find their way to Jimbuna's FileFront site as a part of his helping an SH3 user... which he is known for doing QUITE unselfishly... to a degree that few do. Subsim is lucky to have him.

Maybe we should all be petty and demand that you remove any links or posts to GWX material from your forum in retailiation? We owe people like Neal Stevens and Subsim... not you. It was against my "first reaction" and better judgement to grant you permission to host our links anyway... as having them linked elsewhere might/could somehow take away from Subsim.

No file was altered, miscredited, stolen, or intended to be a base for other modifications.

Grow up.

Its ok, I'm uploading now. For some strange reason File Front dropped my mod If all goes well it should be up again in about 2 hrs. I apologise for this...... BDU will not be pleased with this setback to other U-Boat captains trying to have the crews look "Elite"

Tried up loading your home made SH3 films etc, every bloody day your films have been moved for deletion emails.

If a file has not been accessed for 14 days they are automatically archived for deletion. You should receive an automated warning via email which allows you 7 days grace to respond.
Rather than take the chance I would suggest you visit your site (you must manually log in....do not rely on the 'remember my password' facility) once a week to keep a check on things.
Better still, use one of the myriad of other storage sites such as MegaUpload then you have total control over who receives what ie: people can't access your account like they can at FF which means you decide what file links you want to make publicly available.
