What im experimting with now is reducing airbase range, and long range aircraft to a maximum of 1000 KM. Stock, that airbase on wake island could concievably send planes against midway. Given the numberious airbases scattered all over the pacific, this is some tremendous overlay. Ive also decreased squadron numbers for long range craft from 6 and 9 to like 2 and 3. So hopefully this works out. On a side note, im also upping the chance for an airstrike if detected from 10% to 70%.
