Your plotting team are: Miss Compass, Mr. ruler, Lord. gum (very important), Madame triangle.. on you map.
Who do you think is going to plot the vessels course.

But seriously, when you get a map contact and click on the square you'll see the heading of the unknown.. going (for example NE) and speed (for example fast).

Now, open your Compass and take the ruler out and plot an estimate course NE (which is 45*) over the contact. (mind you this is a very rough estimate and needs to be adjusted over time).

If you mean getting a bearing when at closer range, you can do that with the sonar (go round with the pointer until you here the vessel) look at the top left side of the screen at sonar station and you'll see its heading.

Or at attack range get a distance estimate (twice with an interval of 30sec. at least), get a speed estimate and then add the AOB which is given to you by the good crew you have. Set AOB and the plot is done!
