Default silent hunter 5 idea!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi guys! big fan of SH3 I bought Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific its good, excellant graphics but i find myself going back to SH3, I guess Im more onto the german campain, more subs, better looking more exciting missions. I just think the german side was more thrilling, see (U-Boat war) dvd. is there going to be a SH5? here are some ideas.....keep it ww2 based basically just improve SH3...graphics same as Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific mayby add more detailed missions along the east coast of U.S, rescue missions, resupply missions, mayby combined pacific and antlantic campians in 5 add more detail to the sim, mayby have the sinking subs implode with debri. germans had to shoot things out of the subs to try and trick destroyers above them(boots, vests, oil, there dead, etc) basically just spice up SH3 ! just a thought! any same thoughts or repleys let me know thanks.

Welcome aboard Mr Beefy(I will not ask). What you have suggested has been mulled over quite a bit here at Subsim. Most are not really sure which way to go or if a SH5 will ever come to pass.

I like the idea especially especially the one about the more exciting missions.I got so bored of "go to C4 and patrol for 24 hours" but I actualy prefer the pacific side of the war mainly because there are not many games about the Pacific and way too many about Europe and the Atlantic. But anyway. I like the idea and I would love a Silent Hunter 5.

Welcome to SUBSIM MrBeefy

As far as graphics for SH3, not sure they can go much further, the larger mods have taken it to the limit. 1.04 is coming out for GWX, looks like there is lots of new content, be on the look out for it.

I play both, but since it came out, SH4 has been by far my most played sim.

This thread reminded me about when SH3 first came out it was locked at some resolution 1024x768 ?

When the devs were queried if we would ever going to be to increase the resolution. Their reply was something in the order of "not going to happen".

Well it wasent but about a week later folks found a work around :hmm:

Point is you never know what will happen.
