Default a request to all modders using the following files

particles / scene / materials .dat files

When you post new work on those files could you post the tech data changed using mini tweeker so that I can incorporate them into my Living Breathing Ocean and Lightning mod for the easy to use JSGME ready download?

And I will give you credit for your work. That is if you want others to be able to use it because there are many guys out there that do not know how to change them personaly that might want my work plus yours.

For example the camera distance rework in the scene dat file and smoke rework in the particles file and ocean reflections and colors in the scene dat and so forth.

Again it is totaly up to you just a request for others out there that would like to have all available in an easy to download and use set up.

Because my files for particles and scene will over write anything anyone else's that use those files and visa versa if yours are loaded over mine.

Or maybe we can deligate one person like Kriller2 and give him all of our changes in tech info so he can combine them all into one giant visual and physicle effects mod.

It's either that or each of our mod's will over write the other and people chosing our mods will lose all the effects they down loaded that they choose for themselves and be asking us what happend and how do I fix this!?

there are a lot of us making some awsome stuff that people want for their own games so lets make it work for all of them.

What do you say guys?

I think its a pretty good idea, would make things easier, but to maintain that might be a prob in the long run. With the new version of S3D its very very easy to plug in your values without any knowledge of hexing and or tweakfiles.

A backup solution would simply be to add a list of all the tweaks done, and then one could simply fire up S3D and update accordingly.

Actually that would be a cool feature in S3D, a bit what Jscones did with JSGME (exporting activated MOD list). After you change a .dat in S3D, the changes could be stored in a doc, simply as text, maybe even comparing before/ after... thinking loud here.

I would like to see the weather and terrain mods kept separate. Some cards, can't handle the mass of graphics. LV does your LBO have the better leaks and rain drop size reduction incorporated? Krillers terrain and harbors are very well done, but I can't use both my machine is pushed to the limit. P4, 4.3 mh, 2 gig ram, ati 1650 pro and game graphic options pushed to the max. So I would have to make a choice if they are combined. JMHO

A clear and easy manual editing guide is important... then we will be able to merge many mods at pleasure.

You made one for you first version of LBO...

Default I am doing my best to incorporate as many mod's as

possable by contacting the differn't mod people and getting the tech data from them. I have to admit I havn't tryed S3D yet so maybe I should and see if some of the work would be easier to add.

I have been so busy with the rework of LBO that I havn't noticed all that is going on unless someone brings it to my attention. For example only last night did I find out about the radio repeat fix and how long has it been out?!

Guess I am getting old now LOL!
