Simply great !
For me it really intensifies the immersion. Walking around on my own sub.

Is it possible to change the free external camera F11 so that one can 'move' on other ships as well ? Something like deactivate the camera-collsion ?
That would get me to see through the eyes of my prey's watch.

Regards,
Tell

Is the new F5 view 'stabilised' as in free-cam view or it is swaying with the boat?

Sergbuto, could you please post a list of changes you've made to the cameras.dat file? I need to add your changes manually, as I'm already using a modded cameras.dat file.

Thanks.

I only messed with it a few minutes last night but if I recall correctly it was stablized view.

Not available yet. The AI-sub traffic section of the campaign and the model of the surfaced sub are ready (took some time to built a damaging model for the sub) but did not have time to do the write-up (Readme, etc.).

The cameras.dat file is placed in Data\Library\ folder. But the way it's set up, you can use JSGME to load it.
Now that little dit bit of info was left out. Give it a go, great little piece of work.
Concerning the installation, I just pasted the Readme bits from my SH3 mods. Personally, I do not use JSGME because I want to keep tight control on any file changes in my SH4 folder while doing modding. But I heard that the way I set up the mod downloads is compatible with JSGME. Maybe I should indeed start stating compatibility in Readmes.

That was not hard. Basically, I replaced a rotation controller with a free-move one. What I would actually like to have is a free walk limited to the deck and the bridge of the sub. I'll try to work on that when I have more time. Things need a lot of testing but my present computer is relatively slow. Actually, some of its specs are below the minimum but having a good graphic card helps to some extent.

Good grief, it's a simple little zip file, and Sergbuto's already put the path information in there. Just extract it to the right folder in SH4 and be done with it.

You know what I'm sorry I started this and posted,I told myself I wasnt going to post here any more..I dont want to fight with you or anyone else...I installed it with the mod installer and its in there,I just cant make the dam thing work..I dont know the right keystrokes or something..I'm outta here
clayp,

1. Open the Data\Library folder in your SH4 directory. Find the Cameras.dat file and remove it from the folder and store some safe place.
2. Open my download archive with the 7zip program and find Cameras.dat file in there. Drag the Cameras.dat file to the Data\Library folder in your SH4 directory. That's it. The mod is installed.

Yes, I think it is possible to do the same thing with interior cameras, i.e. a combination of the stock one and the Shift-F2 camera so that the Shift-F2 camera will be no longer needed. That's the next thing I planned to look at.

You are the second person who ask about "walking" on the other ships. I did not actually think someone wants to do that. The reason I did a collision-enabled camera for ">" and "<" views is because I hated going through the ships during AOD and SH2 times. But now I am starting to like the idea of walking on other ships. It should be possible to do it for ">" and "<" cameras and it will probably eliminate the bug I describe in the Readme.

I have not changed the property of the F5 view in this respect from that in the stock version.

SERGBUTO,

What a marvelous mod....It really adds more depth to SH4.

I have a question, when in the new F5 view mode, and moving the mouse, the mouse is very jerky.. jittery etc. Is this what everyone is getting or do I have a problem with this laser mouse?
