Surrender Option?

Click on the "Lost at sea..." status and you'll be given the option to surrender.

I remember days i played legendary AOD and as i remember there was surrender option, you did emergency surface and were captured. When i first time did play SH4 and found myself in desperate situation i was wondered that only option given to me was sink with all hands...
