The only issue I have with Das Boot is the behaviour of the crew under attack- I highly doubt that an experienced crew with be shrieking and screaming as much as they do in this film....
I read somewhere that that was the one thing that annoyed the old U-Bootfahren as well. Oh, well. Dramatic license.
