You need to be clearer on your description of steps you took...you don't drag anything to the "mod enabler" to activate it. Are you using JSGME? Thats the program you need to run mods. Ok take a deep breath and lets do this one step at a time.

0) Read the README file which should be included with the mod (its in the folder you extract with winrar usually. It should have fairly detailed information on how to install the mod...follow the instructions carefully and slowly.

that being said...it should go something like this:
1) open the .rar file with winrar or extractor of your choice.
2) find the files/folder which was extracted from the .rar file you downloaded.
3) inside that folder..as pointed out from the readme...you need to click on the createfolders.cmd file which will organize the files to be ready to be installed with JSGME.
4) After you've done that, the files should be in order inside a directory folder called "Data". You want to move up one level to the folder which contains that "Data" folder...this is what you want to drag somewhere.
5) this somewhere is not the mod enabler...you need to drag this folder containing the newly created "Data" directory into your SH4 directory to the folder "MODS".
6) Once this folder is inside the "MODS" folder in the SH4 directory, you then load JSGME by double clicking on it (the executable should be within your SH4 directory).
7) When JSGME starts up there should be a list of mods or just that one if you aren't using others on the left. Select the bearing tool 1.4 mod so it is highlighted and Click on the arrow button pointing to the right and that will install the mod for you...
8) Pray
9) Start SH4 and see if it worked.

If you still run into problems...be as clear as possible with the steps you took preferably with correct spelling and grammar.

Thanks supposedtobeworking

Another option gg5056 is to install Real Fleet Boat or Trigger Maru which has the 360 bearing mod included.

* Are you installing this while out of port?

After installing, try creating a new career.

It's sound like its going to be alot of work to install Mods.

I might try real fleet boat or trigger maru. If they don't work.

Going to delete everything and not use any Mods. It would be easier if someone
was here to help me to this.

Thanks for all your help.

Lets' try this again gg5056

1. please delete the MODS folder in sh4 and uninstall JSGME
2. re-install the v1.3 patch
3. start a new campaign, start out of the harbor, and then exit the sim)4. Now we'll take another run at thisWhat have you tried this morning?

Cheers
