flakmonkey; Ahh yeah the crash dive bug, except this problem occurs from damage/flooding.

I can understand there would be residual water to be pumped, but it lasts forever. On a test run I took damage in the Cadiz area - repaired everything and then took the sub slow-2/3 all the way around Ireland, past Scapa, then back to Kiel. This takes days, over a week's (game) time. Once a day I would dive and check bouyancy, guess what - ahead standard or sink to the end.
Through the whole time I have at least two repair qual's in each damaged compartment plus more in the repair team w/officers repair qual'ed, tried no fatiuge, jazz like that. Now I could be mistaken but if the flooding recovery time = 0, then there is no water left. And if there is, neither compartment indicates where, so basicaly then I'm supposta have repair guys wait around with thumbs up the arse and forced to burn more fuel. And on top of that trying to maintain periscope depth for an attack with this problem is about futile.
I basicaly have a yo-yo with torpedoes.

Hmm I haven't had this problem.

On a recent patrol I was surprised by 2 mossies on the surface, and they got me good. I had flooding in several compartments and LOTS of severe damage & casualties.

I sank to the bottom which was only 80m, and then by moving my repair team around I was able to contain the flooding, and eventually fix everything that was fixable.

After the water was all pumped out I didn't notice any problems with depth-keeping.

Dang....

Well I've been through the tweek - zon files and short of reducing bomb radius which I haven't done I can't find anything to affect flooding, maybe I don't know what Im looking for.. garrrr

So I think I'll perhaps try and adjust the armor level in basic on the pumps or some jazz. Any other ideas?

Repair times I don't think are the problem, hull damage, equipment damage etc. All that would naturaly take time to fix. It seems anytime there is even minor flooding the boat becomes a soggy yo-yo with torpedoes. Now if those conditions don't resolve then I don't see much "fun" in dealing with damage control or getting frustrated with this issue, might as well return to base.
