It's worth noting here that I've been in a major storm for 2 days, and that I also have Sober's 3D waves installed. One or both of those may be having an effect? Haven't had any calm seas yet to see how that looks... Quote:
At any rate, the fact that my boat don't fly over the troughs anymore would be worth a graphic glitch or 2 ![]() DH |

Hello all,
I need a little guidance. I'm attempting to modify the TM1.3a scene.dat to add the features herein. However I am new to the mini-tweaker, I've downloaded what I think are the correct files from "timetraveller's SH3 Command Room" website. However when I open my scene.dat files all the current values are in exponetials. My version of mini- tweaker says that I am modifying File Ver 1.4b of scene.dat; however none of my values match the non-yellow values on the first page...Odder still, when I open the JSGME version I notice the same exponential values not matching the yellow values. An example: Per the directions: General Environmental Max wave height= 256 512 Param_Windspeed=10 15 Supress Waves=15 -1 LargeWavesArmonics=1 4 LargeWaveCoef=0 0.9 SeaSpeed=0.06 0.08 My values in the unmolested TM1.3A scene.dat: General Environmental Max wave height= 1.817866E+31 Windspeed= 1.10218E+2 Supress Waves= 1684957527 LargeWavesArmonics= 7562614 LargeWaveCoef= 1.852481E+28 SeaSpeed= 6.831104E+22 My values in the unmolested JSGME Living Ocean: General Environmental Max wave height= 1.817866E+31 Windspeed= 1.10218E+2 Supress Waves= 1684957527 LargeWavesArmonics= 7562614 LargeWaveCoef= 1.852481E+28 SeaSpeed=6.831104E+22 Actually they match, so what am I doing wrong guys? Thanks in advance. I hate missing out. |

Knowing very well that you guys have super computer systems, I've added it to my sig:
My Framerate before this magnificent mod was 10 fps My framerate after applying this magnificent mod 10 fps Although nowhere near to what you guys get in fps, it still is manageable to run ![]()

Perserverance prevails!!!!
More searching brought me to the following link: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show....dat+tweakfile Just a heads up for anyone else looking to tweak scene.dat. You need the prepackaged files from nvdrifter's package, maybe this is the reason for confusion as to who created the tool. Using this package, my values match those referenced. Ducimus, thanks for you hard work, I couldn't attain quiet the same level of enjoyment without either of these mods. Quick aside, you wouldn't happen to be integrating Oakgroove's recently released GUI updates would you? Thanks was implied to you as well Leo, but can never pour it on too thick. |

If you don't do that, you get the exponent-type data you're mentioning. Not sure, but I don't think that MiniTweaker is looking anywhere at all when you 1st load it and load a tweak file. Think it is just reading random crap off the disk, or memory or something, until you actually tell it where to look. Try pointing it to your SH4 root folder, then reload the scene_dat.txt tweak file. Bet then you will see the numbers you expect. And note, you have to tell MiniTweaker where to look every time you run it. DH |

Wow. I got to try it. While I agree a little with jace11 regarding the glassy, reflective nature of some of the water, it is none the less extremely impressive. Very very cool.
I am running it with the submarine interiors mod ![]() |

yeah, the mod rocks, but the "vibrating jelly" water glitch is somewhow ruining the experience. there got to be a way to get rid of it.....:hmm:
