Nice work

BTW, maybe someone could answer this for me?

When we goto the Peri or Obs station ingame, what are we seeing?
Do we see a representation of the eye piece lens or the external lens?

:hmm:

This should be the external lens you see. The shape fits better and it would be more realistics anyways. Because if you press your head agains the peri's headpiece you don't see any shapes of the lenses directly in front of your eyes anymore.
The same when looking through binoculars.

At least this sounds logic to me .

As the obs scope's purpose was to scan the horizon for aircraft it would be more logical the way the modded obs scope looks because the wider vertical angle lets you do this better.

I haven't seen any photographs of the look through an observation periscope yet. But the angle should be right as this is the same shape as the 3D model of the obs scope looks from the outside in SH3.
