Well.. I have my own opinion about this mod. I think it's already too unfair to yourself to use this mod. What ? you want contacts brought to u on the plate right? Where does the patient gone, then ? What about reality ? U think in real submarine warfare there was lots of contacts ? I bet NO. The crew sometimes searched for ages to find some sound underwater or even returned to port with all torps loaded.
I agree that this mod might be usefull for testing purposes, but not for playing.. Now u can throw me out overboard, but I'm not going to use this mod for sure
Nothing personal but it is the way I found it

Instead keep searching and u'll find your luck

I am glad you have your opinion, but so do I. It's the way i like to play...
The good thing about it is that no one has the duty to use mods like this, but I use it and many others that help me increase the contacts because I don't have much time after I leave my office and take care of my little kid. I can't spend the whole night waiting for a contact because the next day I have to get up early to go to work. So, I enjoy blasting ships all over the seas and YES, I love to have ships served on a golden plate.
About realism, i know what it is like. I used to spend days or weeks on patrol (SPECOPS) waiting to find my objective. That said, realism in SH3 is not my ultimate goal, I just want to have fun with it the way I like.

do u have a respect for this game man ? dammit this is simulation! if u want a quick action get yourself an arcade or smth. YES it takes a lot of time to play, but it is the way it is. You can also play single mission with some contacts already on "the golden plate" Well if u're feeling better cheat on yourself with whole map of random contacts, but don't post messages with how many tonage u did, cuz I'm not going to believe that was done fairly
Damn I lost my nerve on that, going for a smoke

LOL, calm down boys, you can use it to DECREASE contacts too. And i was saying that on the original version of the game, i spent a lot of time yes, and with success hearing below every 1 or 2 hs, and a lot of patrols i came to base with 30.000 or 40.000 tons of sunked single ships! (and a month or more in game time patrol) AND without a fight, oh like in WW2???. Do me a favor.

My personal liking on this is, 0 single ships, a couple of convoys, and little task forces. You are fan of Das Boot? If i remember right they received 2 convoy contacts, ok, give me 3 to 5 convoys contacts on each patrol, or 1, i like it random. Too much contacts???, i dont think so. I laugh when at 250 km west of France with the tool i saw a convoy. The luftwaffe and kriegsmarine was blind or something.
And this tool is for 'mature' people, it is not a cheat.

0 single ships is a nonsence, some has to be, 3 to 5 convoys contacts on each patrol ? U think u're going to coup with them all ? lol try to sink half of a big convoy and it will be a miracle to u dude.. BTW I was speaking about GWX not about stock version (which is a legend already) where single ships were everywhere on the hand..
For the end too less contacts is more likely closer to reality then too many of them.

Ok Contact... I have a deal for you:
I let you play the game the way you like it, and you let me play it the way I like it... deal?
Or is there any clause in a readme file in SH3 that I missed, that says how MUST this game played?

Nice tool.

The best is a good compromise between game and simulation. and this tool make it easy.

One little question, what are the normal or deffault GWX values ??
when i start the tool all options are empty.

In real life there was a lot of u boats in the sea and luftwaffe FW condors sent reports about ships.

Hello Hartmann:
I dont know, but some task forces have around 20% chance, and 7200 minutes.

Maybe this can help: Think what you want. For example if you want more convoy contacts, put 50% of the convoys, with probabilities between 20 and 60, and 300 to 1200 minutes. With luck a couple more convoys will appear.
Try modest values with care first to not waste time playing, then adjust the values until you find good numbers.
Two important things:
Restore to the original every time you want to run the tool.
Run the tool again with your favorites numbers (restoring first) from time to
time to keep the contacts dinamic.

Nicolas,

Again, thank you for this nice tool. Are you working on any upgrades, such as adding subs to simulate wolfpacks, adding or subtracting air cover, air attacks, destroyer patrols, etc? I know this can be done (but I don't have the foggiest idea how).
