Default How can I just turn down the Klaxon

The horn that sounds when diving or surfacing - it's too loud.

Is there a simple way to turn it down or disable it?

Thanks,

No simple way. You have to find the file in the data/sounds/ folders and either delete, it, or replace it with a copy in which you've manually reduced the volume using an audio editor

Go into your data\sound folder, find the Submarine_DiveAlarm_INT file, then go into your Sound Recorder ( now bring up that file I mentioned ), you can turn down the sound there. You can also turn up sounds of the ones you like

Sound Recorder is under Accessories > Entertainment.

Welcome by the way.

Thank you all very kindly for helping out with that.

And yes, the Change of Watch noise is irritating, but it somehow reminds me of Old Star Trek whereas the klaxon reminds me of, well, scary old school teachers.

Now if I change the klaxon sound to the old Star Trek red-alert noise, and change the change of watch to a sexy lady saying something like, "to to change beds, boys" then I might be all set.

Oh to be single and childless again, for a few weeks...I'd sink as many tons of shipping (in both oceans) as I would down bottles of beer... it would be a glorious, drunken fortnight of bad angles and hasty descents, but what is a man to do?

Thanks again,

Cheers--
