SH3 with NYGM & GWX crashed.

Been using SH3 from day one:

have two separate installs using NYGM and GWX mods.

Upgraded my video card for SH4 to ATI Radeon x1600xt then upgraded to v.7.6...

SH3 will no longer load. Started from scratch with clean install w/1.4 patch. Completed two separate loads for above mods. SH3 still dead in the water, but, SH4 w/RFB1.28 working fine.

rig: VAIO pentium(R)4 cpu 3.20 GHZ 3.19 GHZ, 2 GB of ram, Windows XP, SP2

...any help appreciated.

I think I saw a post in the SH4 forum about troubles with some ATI drivers. Obviously since nothing else has changed, your videocard seems responsable for that:hmm: Where exactly does SH3 fail? When loading the game (Access to main menu), or when loading the missions?

Have you tried a clean install of SH3 plus patch 1.4 first? (No other mods):hmm:

I've tried all methods...just now...going through a another clean sweep. Will try again to load vanilla w/1.4 patch.

I find it strange that my SH4 works just fine....hmmm.

Do other games load & run fine?

ATI drivers are buggers to remove & they do need removing before installing new versions.

I suspest a driver conflict.

Try to find ATI's Driver removal tool/instructions and start again.

EDIT - Just seen your post. It has happened in the past, where a game is no longer supported by the drivers. Could be the problem.

Tnx guys...

Just cleaned up the cpu and started from scratch...apparently SH3 got corrupted with the RealNav mod.

Got the vanilla copy working!!

...so far.
