Just be very, very careful when doing so. There was an anchor (solid blue) at Saipan so I approached and the screen asked if I wanted to refit which I did. I hadn't even kicked the deisels into life when my watchman tells me of a warship approaching. Thinking it has to be a friendly I sat and waited for it. Suddenly two planes come screaming through the skies in what can only be described as a very half-hearted attempt in attacking it. It opened up with its AA's and I went in close with external camera - Bloody hell, its a Jap destroyer. Well me, my crew, my Balao together with its freshly loaded fish, and full load of fuel was sent to the bottom.

Cursing, I returned to a last save and brought my sub in at a different time, this time at night. Damn if the bugger doesn't ram me from behind after reload - destroys himself in the process but does enough damage to my sub to render it as scrap metal - no ways would I get her back to Freemantle.

Went back to save again, sat at my last waypoint for a few days and then came back in - this time at battlestations while refueling and loading and then getting the hell out as fast as possible.

Lesson learned. Even if the Stars and Stripes are flying proudly on top of every coco-nut tree - be careful, its a war zone.
