Being a real U-boat fan and having only marginal interest in the Pacific Theatre....(I do own SH by the way) I can only say that SH III is a great game that has had the longest lifespan of any game I have owned so far.

But comparisons between the two games at this stage are not fair; SHIII wasn't all that brilliant before it was patched and -thank God- modded to make it the complete game it is now. It took about two years for GWX tot surface.....

Right now everybody is awaiting the much anticipated 1.3 patch to Sh IV; modding of SH IV will undoubtedly pcik up after that.....

In a couple of months SH IV will be a good game as well....

Will it be better that SH III? I don't know; will it be better than it is now: most definitely.

Will I be playing it: probably not....I hope to be playing the next coming of GWX by then...
