You run SH3 Weather one time at the beginning of each patrol before leaving port. You choose the month of your patrol start and check random (my way of doing it) or you can define what weather you want at start. from that first thread.

but the question remains , does it work in GWX ? Sorry to go on about this but that's the main question i need an answer to.

I have used it with 1.02, not sure about the latest version, 1.03.

Looks like it is a go with 1.03 as well.
