While I don't do entire patrols in real time, I rarely go over 512 TC, and there have been plenty of evenings when I don't touch time compression at all, and just sit back and relax. It can be very soothing to just listen to the engines drone, and the waves lapping against the hull after a hard day at work. It really makes it much more exciting as well, when I do get the occasional sighting(especially aircraft spotted!) "snooze.....snore....AIRCRAFT SPOTTED! huh?! what!? GAH! Dive! dive dammit! dive!!!" I usually spill my coffee on those. :p

I get enough of hurry up and get it yesterday every day at work. I don't need it in my sim life too!

I had a crash too, yesterday, but no strange dolls. I had just put some new stuff on my Salmon, and the crew refused to man the deckgun. I had to go there myself to fire it (calm waters), and after that I pressed something and the game crashed.
