I'm in the process of modding in an armed fishing boat or 2, the armed trawler of the allies as a japanese craft (complete with DCs though it tends to blow the rack off set shallow). There is also an allied fishing boat (wood) that can be armed after a fashion (AA). It will fill in for the very small subchasers in harbors, even if it only fires guns.
One nice addition ducimus made was to up the lost contact time. This gives nearby ships a larger radius in which to react. In this way, a small SC, even if unarmed for attacking a submerged sub, can radio the position and if there is a "real" ASW asset within 30 minutes they will come. All it needs is a hydrophone. While I tend towards keeping the AI mods pretty vanilla when thinking about stuff like this list, certain capabilities can make some marginal substitutions better. tater |

I've been looking at making an eqp bash for Nagato and I actually think Ise might be a better match for her than Fuso.
Fuso's pagoda is so unique, and the superstructure just aft of it is more built up in Nagato and Ise. The eqp bash would remove the P and Q turrets, and change A, B, X, and Y to dual 16" turrets. BTW. I have an eqp bash for Yagumo (no changes other than radar from Asashio, but she'd show up as "Yagumo"). I also have a bash for the Kaibokans (pretty generic, it's Evarts with jap weaponry). The "Bungo Pete" style of cloning has the advantage of not creating any more loading issues for the game since they share dats. |

I don’t get the substitutions for the merchant ships.
![]() I want to create a historic mission and therefore I would need these three merchants: Asaka Maru Sakito Maru Sanko Maru Okay the Sanko Maru is only one of these in your lists but what is this „KMCSAkita“. They are called e.g. “Large Modern Composite Merchant” in my editor. I know these are the names of the folders but what is the KMCSAkita in the editor? I’m not really into the merchants… sorry if this sounds silly. And btw what would you use for the Sakito Maru: http://www.combinedfleet.com/notoro02.jpg And Asaka Maru: http://www.west-point.org/family/japanese-pow/PhotoFile/Arima_Maru_Ueda.jpg I got no photos but apparently from the search I made they are supposed to look like these pictures. Edit: You may have to copy the URL of the first picture into a new browser to see it. |
