Can anyone please tell me what is that?

First time I see something like that. It came out of Bristol Aug/1940.

It's the biggest submarine in the world.

Really, it's a convoy which has an AI sub as it's lead vessel or it's being stalked/reported by a wolfpack.

Maybe the British tried disguise as german subs so that they get some spies into german uboat bunkers

Or they wanted to lure real german submarines to a fake convoy attack pack and led them into a trap :hmm:

The way the game works the subs have to be part of the convoy the whole time
Start to finish
Unless sunk

As its blue (

) its a Ge sub following and reporting in
You may get kucky to find 1,2 or 3 AI subs when you get there
Or they could be all sunk

I came across one that had no escorts left...looks like my fellow KaLeuns did the dirty work for me....
The convoy offered easy pickings.....

I've intercepted a few of those convoys but each time there were no subs but quite a few damaged ships, at first the blue fooled me and I went in on the surface, waving to the ships with a smug look on my face, till the destroyers started firing at me! DIVE!

You have to get as close as possible until you can clearly see their faces in your peri. If you remember some of them, you can surface and wave. Otherwise attack or sneak away

I believed a circle icon means it is a convoy reported and being shadowed/attacked by another U-boat, nut now I understand that it could also be an AI *enemy* sub being part of the convoy. A bit confusing imo.

Often you will see a smaller circle icon following it; this is the german uboat then.
(By drawing a line between the convoy and the u-boat you can get the convoy's track quite accurately and set an ambush

)

One time I found one of those convoys in heavy fog. A cruiser appeared and I sank it with one torpedo. Then the convoy's sole escort went after me, but another boat saved me. It fought it out with the escort and was sunk, but the escort left and I wreaked havoc on the convoy.
