In the UK it is only legal with reduced wormwood content. Most of the Absinthe bought over the bar is just cheep oils and not distilled.

I have a bottle of clear white Absinthe with full wormwood content in the drinks cabinet waiting for a special occasion.

Similiar situation in ireland, the strongest you can get is 70-odd-%, but it's nasty.

Absinthe has been made, ahem, illegally in Switzerland until the law was changed in 2005 and is now made in the Val-de-Travers region where it is said to have originated. Never tried it myself.

Oh my God, I once had it! I use the rest as a iodine replacement and wound disinfectant, to dissolves varnishes and glues, and to clean the gaps between the tiles in my bathroom.

Dalwhinnie is Scottish and Jameston 1780 is Irish enough for me...

Same here, the distilled is forbiden. But I didn't mind seeing kylie minogue aka "la feé verte" from time to time.
